We understand the significance and importance of creating a cleaner more sustainable way of conducting our business; whether it implies encouraging our employees to volunteer in social activities or understanding the impact of Governmental policies on our business and clients'. We are taking initial steps towards implementing a greener more conscious way of running our business. At a corporate level, we have structured our initiatives into four categories: Internal Policies & Certifications; Being a Responsible Citizen; Transformation in Personal behavior; and Value Creation.
Internal Policies & Certifications
Our goal is to support initiatives for sustainable and eco-friendly living by encouraging the implementation of green initiatives amongst our clients and vendors, such as:
- Becoming certified with the EPA - SmartWay Transportation Partnership
- Using IAPPC certified carriers
- Partner with companies which encourage a greener modus-operandi
- Discussing with our clients the impact of the MARPOL Annex VI initiative
- Promoting the Clean Truck Act
For clients embracing eco-friendly modes of transportation, we are awarding CARBON CREDITS for a portion of our revenues to promote green initiatives in our community.
Being a responsible citizen
As an incentive to "giving back to our community", our staff is allowed to volunteer a certain number of working hours per year. Participation in these activities are highly recognized throughout the company and merited with awards and prizes.
Transformation in personal behavior
Company wide we are demanding of our staff to be absolutely conscious of the environment. We encourage our staff to be fully eco-conscious with their personal behavior by limiting the use of paper in our offices, reducing the amount of waste pro-capite, substituting water bottles with water coolers and encouraging the use of mass transit. At a corporate level, we encourage a greener way of living amongst our staff, clients and vendors.
Value Creation
Innovation and progress
- Such endeavors have led to the development of our paperless software utilized and implemented in our Change Group Logistics Division. We encourage our staff to motivate our clients to be integrated in our programs thus becoming paperless.
- Company wide we are taking initiatives to implement Energy Star compliant equipment.
- We always look at eco-conscious projects with friendly eyes and encourage our clients to submit their ideas to our staff for implementation.
