Emergency Management

For a company to avoid or minimize the impact of critical situations, it is crucial to detect and address early signals of distress. However, this is not always possible and when critical events occur it is imperative to deploy resources and execute a recovery plan.

Emergency Management

Companies typically show signals of distress before critical events occur.  It is part of our responsibility to monitor our clients’ indicators and run the necessary diagnostics so that said signals can be detected and preventive or corrective measures can be taken accordingly.

However, it is not always possible for companies to avoid critical situations.  Negative factors such as an adverse economic climate, a market change, a change in the legislation, a FDI turned sour or, sometimes, a bad choice can force a company into a corner.

When these situations occur, “just” controlling the damage is not an option.  The effects of the crisis must be arrested and turned into variables positively supporting an effective recovery plan.  In these cases, time is of essence: the plan of actions must be developed and executed promptly.  At Change Group, we have the capacity to deploy the most appropriate resources efficiently at any given time.

Our Emergency Management service is engineered to:

  • Efficiently assess the extent and depth of the crisis;
  • Rapidly develop a recovery plan;
  • Tailor the most appropriate course of actions around the client’s business model;
  • Execute the plan and deliver results.

This practice is focused on three areas:

  1. Corporate Structure Re-Engineering: our team will work with the client to develop a performing cost effective structure and will implement a streamlined operating model.
  1. Corporate Turnaround and Exit Plan: our team will work with the management, the creditors, the vendors and the other stakeholders to develop a recovery plan that minimizes the damage, sets the building blocks for long-term success and assembles the resources required for its implementation.
  1. Corporate Debt Restructuring: after performing a rigorous business review, our team will offer a tailored plan to support the debt restructuring or business bankruptcy, whether voluntary or involuntary.  In addition, we will work with financial institutions and groups to identify appropriate refinancing solutions to support a long-term operating plan.

Our emergency teams are formed ad-hoc to respond to the clients’ needs in their specific industry and include implementation specialists to ensure the execution of the plan.
